Rotherham European Business Festival

There’s a region in Northern England, which offers a lot to new investors that want to expand or relocate their businesses there. Where institutions provide strong support, road and rail links with all of the corners of the country are excellent and three international airports in the area offer connections to over 40 cities in Europe. This thriving region is Yorkshire.

Now Yorkshire is also a home to circa 55 thousands of Polish immigrants: many of them are skilled and well educated, some of them run successfully their businesses contributing taxes and creating new job positions. Rotherham European Business Festival is an occasion to show to potential investors or people thinking about setting business the benefits of locating them here.

According to Martin Oxley, Director of UKTI in Warsaw, there’s over 40 thousands of businesses run by Polish in the UK. This huge number may even grow – we, Yorkshire Tourist Organization, still receive inquiries from people that would like to work on their own. Rotherham European Business Festival is to answer their question and help them make the first step. It is also to show, that further education which allows them being more competitive on the job market is affordable. Last but not least, we work with organizations from Central & Eastern Europe that look for business partners in England. Why don’t connect them with those from Yorkshire?

About the programme

’New Directions’ Exhibition on 1st day is dedicated to all that look for grants, business loans, business support, business services and professional courses offer.

The second day – conferences day – will give the answer, why is it worth to be a volunteer, what are the benefits of apprenticeships for employees and employers or what are the reasons people set up social enterprise (and why could it be good for you).

Rotherham European Business Festival ’14 is an occasion to showcase the potential of Yorkshire to potential investors and people thinking about setting up business in the UK. The event will connect employers, advisors, entrepreneurs and investors with the exciting opportunities the region offers.

For Employers we offer the opportunity to introduce your company to a skilled, educated and enthusiastic workforce from across Europe. Renowned for their hard work ethic you could discover the next rising stars for your business.

For local businesses offering business services and advice we offer the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs from across Europe who require your advice to thrive in the local marketplace. According to Martin Oxley, Director of UKTI in Warsaw, there are over 40 thousand businesses run by Polish immigrants in the UK. This huge number continues to grow and delivers a huge opportunity for Yorkshire and local businesses.

For budding entrepreneurs that would like to work on their own, but are looking for advice and guidance on how to go about it, the Rotherham European Business Festival will connect you with expert advice and counsel to help you get on your way.

For investors we work with organisations from Central & Eastern Europe that are looking for business partners in England to expand their markets. The festival will work to connect these companies with local investors to attract more investment into yorkshire.
